We are called by our Lord and Master to demonstrate His character as we each walk this earth. The Bride of Christ is the Lord's testimony to the world, she is "all glorious within".
By simply being the Body of Christ in the earth we display the righteousness of God to this world in which we live. This is to be our political statement and political activism, thus endorsing and being ambassadors of the coming Righteous King!
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Cor.5:21)
“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.” (1 Jn 3:7)
Righteousness is simply complying with the norm.
"YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM", IF YOU ARE… RIGHTEOUS (if we will govern our thoughts, words, and deeds according to the "norm" set by our King).
By doing so, His Bride, displays the "norm" or righteousness of the King of Kings, the object of our devotion. This, I believe, is the best thing that can be done, as the world is always in upheaval of one sort or another.
I agree, Samuel is a great example of remaining steadfast and steady in times of great local turmoil.
